Bongani Luthuli

Bongani Luthuli is a Durban based mix-media creative and fashion artist. He was born in Matatiele, Basotho land, South Africa and raised in Mount Fletcher where he realised his talent for art. 

Luthuli was introduced to textile design which led him to establish his own clothing brand, ‘Natty Dread Clothing’. Luthuli draws inspiration from African levity and traditions. Both his art and the Natty Dread Clothing brand have been featured in SABC 1 Lifestyle show, Selimathunzi, and the first fashion catalogue in Isolezwe Newspaper. Luthuli has also worked with artists Zamani Makhanya, Sfiso KaMkame, Themba Shibase, and John Roome.
